Broadway Trade Center

Broadway Trade Center

The historic 1912 Beaux Arts Broadway Trade Center in downtown LA was originally the site Hamburger’s Department Store, “The People’s Store.” In transforming the 1.1 million square foot building, Broadbridge aims to create a place for real human connection in this digital age. In response, the design of the two-acre rooftop decks, which once housed a Roof Garden Theater and plant nursery, includes a community park with stage, swimming pool, outdoor dining, herb gardens, bars, and a lounge.  This adaptive reuse building also includes a hotel, food hall, offices and retail.  It is designed to achieve LEED Platinum certification.
