Ben Feldmann

Ben Feldmann is a distinguished landscape architect, urban designer, and principal at Studio-MLA. He spearheads many of the firm’s public realm oriented projects and provides oversight and leadership on design and planning in the studio. Striving for resilient communities and urban regeneration, Ben looks for projects that build solutions and synergies between the environment, culture, and nature.

Over two decades, Ben is active in aviation, healthcare, transit, campus development, river and waterfront planning, and multifamily communities. Notable projects include California’s High-Speed Rail Authority’s Central Valley Station Designs, Harbor UCLA Medical Center’s Expansion, LAX’s Public Realm and Landscape Enhancement, Fresno’s MLK Park, and the Hollywood Walk of Fame Master Plan.

His ability to forge strong connections with partners, coupled with a deep sense of responsibility for the communities he serves, inspires Ben to seek equitable, sustainable, and innovative design solutions. Ben holds a Master of Urban Design (MUD) from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (BLA) from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Based in Los Angeles, Ben’s leadership extends to the San Francisco Bay Area office, where he champions thoughtful, well-designed landscapes that embody stories of hope, justice, resiliency, water, habitat, and ecology. This resonates with elected officials, city leaders, developers, institutions, and community advocates committed to enriching their environments.
