First and Broadway Civic Center Park will provide a place to celebrate diversity and promote civic engagement in versatile spaces where art, food and nature bring people together.  The park celebrates Southern California’s landscape heritage featuring an iconic oak woodland and sycamore lined arroyo creating a series of richly shaded spaces instilling awareness and sensitivity to drought and climate change.   A multi-level restaurant pavilion is envisioned as the ‘food hub’ providing a variety of culinary offerings that engage with the park including a beer garden and collection of movable site furnishings.  Sculpted metal canopies will float among the tree canopies providing an artful arrangement of shadows and reflect the dynamic scenes of city life.
