The Morgan at Bay Meadows
Bay Meadows is an 83-acre transit oriented neighborhood redevelopment at the site of a former airfield and race course in San Mateo, California. Envisioned as a charming urban village situated near the Hillsdale Caltrain Station, the TOD is a destination in and of itself, offering places to live, work, play, and shop, as well as miles of biking trails, parks and open spaces, and community gardens.
The Morgan is an 82-unit collection of expansive rental residences located in Bay Meadows. Nestled between Paddock Park and Landing Green Park and overlooking a private courtyard, the building celebrates green outlooks with private outdoor spaces and large, picturesque windows. A public paseo runs through the building forming a strong and defining linkage to either side.
The building and landscape take inspiration from traditional Spanish style design while maintaining Bay Meadows’ ambitious benchmarks for sustainability. Arches, outdoor balconies, and gable rooflines with decorative ironwork, paving, and Mediterranean planting define the landscape and architectural style.
