Ariel Dungca

Ariel is a landscape architect with extensive experience across the U.S. and a diverse range of project types. He specializes in creating well-crafted spaces that are culturally, ecologically, and materially connected to their surroundings. Originally from the Philippines and raised in Massachusetts, Ariel combines his artistic skills as an illustrator with his design expertise, offering a unique perspective through keen observation, playful hand drawings, and storytelling to create clear and compelling narratives. Passionate about mentorship, Ariel has served as a guest critic at the Boston Architectural College and volunteered with students at the University of Hawai’i Community Design Center. He finds it gratifying to empower emerging designers and supports office initiatives related to recruitment. Ariel holds a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Currently, he is working on the Central Valley Station Designs for California’s High-Speed Rail Authority. Ariel is based in our San Francisco studio.
