Accounting Specialist / Full Charge Bookkeeper

Overview of Position
Studio-MLA seeks a motived staff member with exceptional knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles who has worked in the architecture, landscape architecture or engineering industry to join our Los Angeles office.

Key Aspects of Position

  • Manages accounts payables, account receivables, and payroll.
  • Responsible for project invoicing, aging, signed contracts and insurance certificates.
  • Maintain accurate project information and accounting records in Ajera.
  • Maintain accurate ledgers, profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Prepare annual Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) accounting compliant financials.

Skills and Experience

  • Degree in accounting is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience.
  • Strong skills with Ajera accounting software and good knowledge Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Bluebeam.
  • Must possess strong organizational ability, show excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to consistently meet all deadlines and accounting cycle dates.
  • Demonstrate effective corporate communication skills written and verbally.
