Lucas Museum of Narrative Art

Lucas Museum of Narrative Art

The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art celebrates the power of visual storytelling. Founded by George Lucas and Mellody Hobson, the museum explores how images move us and shape our collective memory — from Frida Kahlo’s self-portraits to Norman Rockwell’s scenes of everyday life to Charles White’s portraits of dignity.

Set to open September 22, 2026 in Exposition Park, Los Angeles, the museum was designed by architect Ma Yansong of MAD Architects, with Stantec as architect of record. Studio-MLA designed the surrounding 11-acre campus, creating a landscape of new gardens that draw visitors through and around the building. The campus also includes two cinematic theaters and dedicated spaces for learning, dining, retail, and events. More info at www.lucasmuseum.org
